Arianna Caroli

Arianna Caroli was born in Orvieto, Italy. She lives in the United States and divides her time between
Miami and New York City. Arianna spends several months of the year traveling around the world. Many of her recent works have been inspired by her Etruscan homeland and the magic of South East Asia. From her journeys through Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and India, she returns with enlightening new works of art.
Arianna earned a Doctorate in Ancient Literature and Archeology from the University of Rome. She painted in Rome under Maestro Fortunato del Tavana and she completed her studies at Sothebys in London, The New School in New York, the Art Students League of New York, and with Vladislav Andrejev, Master Iconographer. She has had extensive experience as a designer, set director, and artistic director for such individuals and organizations as James Ivory, Vittoria and Paolo Taviani, Bob Giraldi, J. Walter Thompson, Biutoni-Perugina, Etro, Giorgio Mondadori and Coin.
In 1994 Arianna was commissioned by Gene Moore, legendary art director of Tiffanys, to create five paintings for the windows of Tiffanys on Fifth Avenue.
Arianna's paintings have appeared in films including Perfect Murder and The Stepford Wives. She has recently published her first book about her life and work, On the Way - In Cammino. It was printed in Italy in a limited edition of 1001 copies, hand numbered and signed by the artist and available through any of our galleries.
Arianna's paintings are included in collections in the United States, Canada, South America, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Europe. In the United States her work in public collections includes Babson College in Wellesley, MA and the Museum of XXI Century Art in St. Petersburg, FL. Her work in private collections includes those of Ronald Lauder, Summer Redstone and Ralph Lauren.
The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs has recently invited Arianna to participate in the Open Study Project and paint "live" for four weeks.
